This extract really kept me reading. I think the beginning was good and I liked how the whole story kept moving fast and directly towards what I think is the main point: Aderyn going to the court. I personally think it gives a low key game of thrones vibe with Daenerys replaced with Aderyn with no other family. Although, I feel like the writing style is quite plain which makes the plot less captivating. Also, I find the plot quite predictable and basic although I hope I’m wrong as this is just the extract. On the positive, I think the cover is quite nice and mysterious. Although it could have been more symbolic towards the swan rather than just the use of a throne and feather. Regardless, I hope I enjoy this IF I decide to continue reading.
