A Throne Of Swan by Kathrine & Elizabeth Corr
‘Now my father is dead, and I am the only swan here. And I do not fly.’
Aderyn inherits the role of Protector of Atratys following her father's death. Nobles are able to transform into birds and the flightless are not to rule. Aderyn has not been able to transform since the death of her mother, putting her position of power at risk. She is driven to find out the truth about her mother’s death, whilst continuing to protect her dominion. But this may come at a cost....
I have steered away from ‘battle for the thrown’ type fantasy in the past but this book caught my eye. I LOVED it!! I am so glad I decided to give it a go. The story caught my imagination and completely swept me away. I really loved Aderyn and the writing was brilliant. The text flowed well and it was a really easy read. I really wanted another good fantasy read to rave about since I finished the Caraval series, and this is it! I am already awaiting the next instalment! 2021 seems sooo long to wait for the sequel.
If you love fantasy, give this a try. I really loved it and couldn’t wait to pick it up again every time I put it down!
