This is gripping! It’s really well written. Excellent start the the book and a solid start and baseline for the plot to push off from. I liked how the setting and mood was set early on. I think this is going to be a incredible book series. I think it’s was good how the main character was given a strong motive early on for whatever happens next. Although, I do think that the death of a parent or a loved one is ever so slightly in the cliché end of things. However I do think that it will play an important role in whatever challenges or problems our main character has to face throughout the rest of the story.
