Not gonna lie this book was requested due to coverly love. Look how beautiful it is, how could I not?
And then the story turned out just as wonderful. The world building was so rich and fascinating. I do want to learn more about the poor and other counties but just the idea of shapeshifters and how they differ appearance wise and live in these kingdoms. It was just really interesting.
The book had strong characters who are somewhat diverse, good romance and a strong story. I knew I'd like this book but I was a little surprised at how much I enjoyed it. If I hadn't had been reading it around Christmas I think I'd have gotten through it a lot faster.
