I've been in a reading slump lately and didn't expect to devour this book as quickly as I did. Reading it all in just a couple days was a pleasant surprise!
Aderyn was a compelling protagonist & the world building was excellent. I also really liked the character dynamics - especially those between Aderyn & Letya/Lucien/Aron.
Aderyn and Lucien's relationship worked particularly well as a driving force.
Meanwhile the old building element of the flightless and the nobility being unable to touch made Letya & Aderyn's friendship all the more interesting to read.
I also loved the subtle representation through the implications that Lancelin loved Aderyn's father and that Aron loved Lucien.
Siegfried was also a great antagonist - I hated him but his charm really shone through still, he was incredibly well written.
