This book is a classical fairytale, it was very nice to read. It is about a girl whose father had passed away. The title of the book is very contradictory to the plot. It Thinking of swans you think of elegance but the plot was much more intense and in all ways not as elegant other than the fact they were Royalty.
Although the plot was interesting, it was still basic much like a few other fantasy novels. However, it still drew me in and was enticing. The dialogue was placed smartly within the text. It was not overwhelming and didn't lead me to boredom. The writing style was amazing. It wasn't hard to understand what was going on and was very refreshing to read
I love that there were many hints of feminism through the text!!! Aderyn was put down many times by the people around her who thought she wasn't capable of doing a good job. But she began to prove them wrong and show how strong and capable she actually was.
