Follow seventeen-year-old Aderyn, orphaned and alone, forced to lead and protect her people. A Throne of Swans starts fast-paced and well explained. The story opens straight into the action and continues on so. Our leading lady is bound by honour but simply wants to fly, symbolically and literally. The story is fascinating and refreshingly new. The world is discussed, in plain terms-everything, you need to know is said but not overly explained- so that you can appreciate the world-building without feeling bogged down in details. So far, the story is intriguing and has set up an interesting plot I would love to dive into. The language is enthralling and well written, vividly imaginative and inviting.
