I really enjoyed the writing style of this author from the very first page. The opening paragraph was mysterious and mystical. The prose that followed felt beautiful and somewhat poetic in parts of the description.
The blurb appeals to me, I very much enjoy the format of novels that switch between 2 time frames in order to unravel a mystery, and I enjoy the historical elements of anything set in the second world war years.
