First the cover is absolutely stunning, incredible use of colours and quite eye catching. I would be intrigued enough to pick this up off the shelf to read the blurb. The extract itself is well written and interesting. I believe the story itself will go on a fascinating journey. I have found myself recently giving historical fiction a chance, and not being disappointed, and this is another book that I would be interested in reading. A good start.
