I am already hooked. The blurb alone had already completely drawn me in, but with the sample on top of it, well -- i'll definitely be picking this up one way or another. The plot sounds so intriguing and I love books related to the Arctic Circle! This sounds like just the kind of mystery book that i'd enjoy.
