This was a beautifully written story including a mystery that keeps you guessing.
I thought the characters were well developed and the authors use of detail really added to the story. There was a lot of historical elements and although usually i’m not a fan, the setting and use of this worked perfectly in line with the story. The mystery of this book has you constantly second guessing and making assumptions which i like in a mystery book. I was always eager to see what would happen next.
I look forward to reading her other works because i enjoyed her style of writing and her characters. The only downside to this was that, although the mystery/ plot was built up with a lot of suspense, i found myself not really being satisfied with the ending. However, i enjoyed the rest of the book and would definitely recommend. (The cover is also beautiful!)
