I love the cover of this book. It’s such a beautiful scene that blends into the book so well. It is beautifully well-written. I knew which timeline I was in and how the characters related to each other. The mystery of the identity of the body and the family secrets kept me gripped throughout. Although I had theories of who the body found was I never foresaw the outcome. Family relationships can be difficult to find a balance between different personalities, this story wasn't any different and made the characters relatable. I’m glad the characters have learnt the lessons of past family actions which is shown in the final chapters with the reader seeing a snippet of 30 years after the main story to round off the ending. Reading this book has made me want to read the others from the same author. The dose of Scotland after only being on holiday there a couple of weeks ago made me want to go back.
