The story follows Caroline Gillian who has moved back to Kelly Castle. She is balancing her life with her baby and pleasing her mother in law. Even though I have neither a child or mother in law. I can see the struggle Caroline faces when balancing her relationship and it relatable. Amongst the chaos she is going through her family archives and find a missing member of the family. She begins to dig deeper and deeper into the mystery and it soon it become an obsession especially when she discovers a body. The book had me on the edge for most of it. I’m a big fan of mystery shows and movies and this was my first mystery books, which I really enjoy.
I found the book a pretty easy read and the chapters weren’t too long which made the pace pretty quick. I’m not a big fan of long chapters. The cover is very attractive with a range of colours which complement each other really well. The book was a fun read with a good balance of mystery.
