Elisabeth Gifford's book "A Women made of Snow" is yet another great read from this author.
Having read "The Lost Lights of St Kilda" and found it to be an additive read I was really looking forward to this one.
It does not disappoint and it is set once again in Scotland.
The year is 1949 and the home this time is a castle in the wilds of Scotland.
Caraline Gillan lives there with her new husband Alasdair and their small baby and an opinionated mother-in-law.
While occupying her time sorting the family archives she discovers a century old mystery that is so engrossing that she feels she really must solve it and find out what really happened.
It turns out to be a very strange story indeed and one that takes her to the Arctic Circle.
A body then turns up which makes the mystery even more interesting and the reader can't wait to turn the pages to solve this puzzle.
