This book has had me captivated since the first page, every time I had a spare moment I had to read it.
The story is set over two different time lines. These work as a way of the earlier story giving answers to the second part.
Caro has been giving a job by her mother in law, that Caro feels try’s to interfere and take over to much, to find out the family history and construct a family tree in the hope that something will come of it that the National Trust will find interesting enough to want to buy the family castle otherwise it will be sold off for a golf course which really wouldn’t please the family.
The one thing that sticks out is Caro’s husband’s great,great grandmother has just been erased, no records of her or pictures at all.
