I have never read a book by Karin Slaughter although I know of her by reputation. I think I need to address this because the opening chapters made me want to know more. The author clearly does her research because the story is packed full of technical detail that gives it real authenticity. I enjoyed the glimpse of the famous Will Trent. I'm just hoping it won't be a disadvantage not to have read previous books in the series. And, at last, a book I can spend my points on after weeks and weeks of children's books!
