I do not usually like medical fiction, but this one really grabbed me from the off. Although some of the procedures seemed quite technical, everything was explained in lay language and it really hooked me. I want to read it all and find out what happens. In the short excerpt I felt I had already built up a relationship with the characters. Brilliant writing.
