Classic Karin Slaughter! The title warms you up (Which night? Whose night? What happened?) and we’re plunged into the story in the first chapter. Admittedly there was a slight distraction as the scene was set with Sara half listening to her sister’s woes whilst watching a doctor and there was plenty of medical info ticker-taping past but, having just binged some Grey’s Anatomy, I wasn’t bamboozled. Then we got to the juicy bits - the return of Will Trenton and the arrival of the victim. This taster has already hooked me and I can’t wait to see how Sara and Will solve this case.Hooked!
