I’ve heard of Karin Slaughter but haven’t read any of her books before. This was my first time reading her work.
The opening is very fast-paced yet tense with a lot going on in the hospital. The story then moves on to a few years later when the A&E doctor is giving evidence in court. The past and the present seem to collide.
I quite liked this book and think that if I got more into it I would know more about the characters. I was conscious this book was part of a well established series.
