I heard so much about this author, but have not read her books yet. Maybe, because of the hype, I was expecting to be hooked from the first page, but I was not. I liked the characters and maybe there will be more action further down, but I don't really know what to expect. Also, it looks like a part of a series, can it be as a stand-alone?
