A smart thriller I could not put down.
It is always a joy to see the publication of a new Karin Slaughter novel, particularly with the return of the main characters Will Trent and Sara Linton, but this is her best one yet.
*Trigger warning for sexual assault and violent themes*
Set around the premise of medicine and men used to a lifetime of privilege, their dark world dating back from being students is investigated.
As a young female doctor is admitted after a brutal attack ending in an unusual car crash , it becomes clear the injuries and circumstances have similarities to at least one other case, one being linked to Dr Sara Linton herself .
As she and fiancée detective Will investigate the case, she must go through to her worst time, her past, to look more closely at colleagues, friends, who might be a key to unlocking who has attacked the women before he does it again.
A brilliant thriller, I could not put it down.
