After That Night by Karin Slaughter is a massive story that kept me intrigued all the way through. Sara Linton was an ER doctor when a young women was brought in who sadly died of unexplained injuries. Three years later she testifies at the trial of a rich young man who gets off after blackmailing the girls parents.
Sara trained with the boys parents and does not get on well with them and the rest of their social group.
This stems back to their training days.
Sara's fiance is a special agent, Will Trent and together with their friend Faith they investigate the young women's murder which seems to be related to a rape and assault Sara was a victim of 15 years ago.
The story jumps from case to case involving a whole gang of very rich men and I rooted for Sara and Will throughout. I did find parts of the story a bit confusing though and it was hard to keep track of all the characters. Overall i enjoyed reading it.
