I can definitely see this book as a tv series or film. There are numerous characters coming to life, and the main co-character Sara is really a significantly bigger part of this book in my opinion than Will.

Sometimes uncomfortable reading, and usually fairly easy to keep the thread, I did at times find it difficult to retain who was being discussed/speaking. There are lots of references to the 'cast' of this book that, if not read through fairly swiftly, I had to check back on to make sure I was staying on track with the threads of the story.

It's not particularly gripping, more of a slow burner. A few dead ends/petering leads help sprinkle the story with twists and hope or lack of to keep the momentum. I don't like to guess 'the end' too quickly and I think this aspect will appeal to readers, whether they are familiar with this well-known author or not. I hope to continue reading other books by Karin Slaughter, they don't disappoint
