The story begins with a doctor in the emergency room, who attempts to save the life of a supposed crash victim, who says she has been attacked and drugged. The supposed attacker turns out to be the son of one of the doctor’s group from medical school, and a bitter rival.
The characters are well thought out and are totally believable. The writing style is concise and tells the story at a good pace, preventing you from pulling yourself away from the book because you need to know what happens next. This is a continuation of a series of books by the author, but the series is far from stale, continuing to draw you in to the lives of the main characters.
