This is my first Karin Slaughter read and I must say this did not disappoint!!
The subject matter throughout the book is not for the faint-hearted, so do be sure to read the content warnings before reading.
We follow the story of Sara, a doctor who was raped 15 years prior, working with her soon-to-be husband Will Trent and his partner Faith to uncover the links between Sara's assault & a string of other girls.
I found the writing style to be captivating and I thought the 'twist' at the end was well-rounded and believable.
The book was extremely well-written and the story-line did keep me hooked but I must admit that the tough themes of rape and assault did make it hard for me to get into the book at the beginning. However, once I hit the 100 page mark I couldn't put it down.
I would definitely be tempted to pick up some other Karin Slaughter books in future!
