Absolute heart-breaking mystery crime/thriller novel, and I know I must read the other books of the series now (which I do wish I had read beforehand so I had some knowledge of the back story)! Nevertheless, still a great standalone book. I knew this would be an amazing book from this first page, in fact also from the blurb. Rape is a very difficult and dark subject to discuss but the author has done an amazing job at creating an intense plot. Quite a fast-paced book with twists and turns, and build up of suspense is done well. A lot of effort has been placed in creating detailed and complex characters and I was hooked, and this is one of the best books I have read recently. Also the love between Will and Sara is worth reading for. This can be triggering for some readers however and sometimes gets difficult to read, but all in all I strongly recommend this book.
