Dr Sara Linton is a great character, she is written very well. You want to keep reading to see if she will get the answers she wants and the justice she needs.
Overall all of the characters are well written and it was easy to follow the narrator's voice when it changed from Will Trent to Sara Linton to Faith Mitchell.

Often crime novels lose momentum part way through, but Karin Slaughter has managed to keep the pace going throughout so that it is very difficult to put the book down. Overall the story is well thought out without plot holes and the ending wraps up the questions in the case.
