Thank you ever so much for the chance to read this before publication! Having most of the Will Trent series I had some catching up to do before I could read this one as i had the last two in the series to read before I could delve in.
That said this one could quite easily be read as a stand-alone as knowledge about the series wasn’t a necessity and Karin Slaughter so expertly gives the reader enough background on the characters that they wouldn’t be at at all lost. Since Dr Lintons introduction to the series her past and the attack she suffered at college has been touched upon a few times so it was really good to get her story in full in this book as she’s forced to relive it after the death of a young girl who’s attack bears a strong resemblance to Sara’s own many years before.
I had high hopes for this book and am not disappointed- I can’t wait for the next instalment!
