This is the second Will Trent novel and the third Karin Slaughter that I have read, and have enjoyed each one. This one was out of sequence so I need to catch up but was fine as a stand alone book.

The storyline centres on the rape and death of young girls and is closely linked to Sarah's past. I loved the way that the story was told, slowly building up the clues to the perpetrators but leaving us guessing until the very end who was pulling the strings. The relationship between all of the main characters was well developed, and because of the sensitive nature of the crimes I felt a real connection with them. I also felt that the trauma suffered by the women was handled very well, especially between Faith and her son Jeremy.

A very sensitive subject but strangely enjoyable.

I will definitely be catching up on the rest of the Will Trent series, having enjoyed this one so much.
