This was my first time reading a Karin Slaughter book and I'm disappointed I didn't discover her sooner!

The fact that it was no.11 in a series of Will Trent mysteries didn't matter at all. Will's character was really likeable and endearing and I really felt for him growing up with the challenges he faced. Because of this I was really rooting for him throughout the book.

The topics covered eg. Rape, kidnap, stalking, murdering were all pretty gory but we're not covered in a way that would scare the reader, but would make them really feel invested in finding out the truth and nailing the criminals.

By about half way through, when the previous rape victim and detective Sara had got the measure of the men involved and how their sordid club worked, I was so into it that even I was trying to unpick the clues and bust the mystery behind which of the usernames in the group chat belonged to who.

Lots of twists and turns and gripping from beginning to end! More please!
