I am not usually into love stories, they always seem a but too unreal, however this I could relate to. Lockhart writes in a relatable and true to life way. I really like the way Lockhart constructs Adelaide's mother, a woman who clearly hasn't got to grips with texting. How Adelaide deals with a crush, she would clearly rather not have is relatable to most young women and this is why I think this book would be a read for young women.
