I’ve been a fan of E. Lockhart for years now. I’ve seen her go through her cute YA phase, and through her dark plot-twist filled phase. This new book seems to be inagurating a new era, no dark aesthetic, no 00’s aesthetic. I can tell from the cover, which is done in a drawing style much different from the Lockhart we are used to, and however, since I’ve read her doing so many things without losing her signature, I trust it’s going to be a ride.
