I really like the idea behind the book. However, I have found the first chapter a bit disappointing. The story is told in first person from the point of view of a teenage girl, but (in my opinion), it seems like her thoughts have been overly simplified.
Maybe the books get better as the story develops and the characters gain some complexity... but as it stands I am really sorry to say that it doesn't live up to the expectations I had inferred from the cover
