This short but lovely book is an ode to beautiful words. Full of glorious lines and enchanting moments, this journey of self discovery through prose is simply a joy to read. A mixture between feel good and powerfully hitting truth, there is so much to be found in between the truths and lies, and in betweens, that a traumatized teenage girl tells herself as she attempts to make her way through a summer. A book that truly confront the human experience, what it is to love, and what it is to love, this little book will make you laugh and cry and everything in between. While it might not be my favourite read of the year, it will be one that keeps hold of me for a while yet. Easy to read, and hard to forget.
