Again, Again focuses on 17 year old Adelaide who is struggling after a difficult break-up. She thinks she is starting to fall in love again while at the same time she is dealing with her brother's opioid addiction. Adelaide's story then plays out in three different universes, a glimpse of what could have happened if things had gone differently. The story then joins back up and carries on as a single perspective. This was a really unique and interesting style which I absolutely loved. I haven't read anything else with this type of format but it worked perfectly for this story. In a bittersweet narrative, the subject of grief is dealt with in a sensitive way as Adelaide deals with the complicated emotions of love. What I enjoyed most about Again Again was that it showed three completely different viewpoints. Depending on the choices you make, things can turn out well or not go as you had intended or hoped.
