I loved the cover of this book, (I am a dog person), and quite liked the sound of the brief description. However once I started to read I was disappointed. I think it was possibly the style of writing that irked me, not really my sort of thing, and the constant jumping between different scenarios I found really difficult to read. May be it is an age thing and the book is actually aimed at a much younger age group than me, possibly teenagers. I don't know, do teenagers read this type of book.
I remain confused on what the author is trying to tell us in the novel, the best part for me is the interaction between Adelaide and the dogs, particularly Rabbit.
Would I recommend this book to others possibly not. However at the end of the novel there is an extract from another of her books and this one looks interesting. I may give the author a second chance with this.
