This book is about family, as a reader you know there is something more to the story.
The main character is Adelaide she’s a teenage girl who’s going through a lot not only is she loving away from the mother and brother (who has a drug problem) she’s going through a break up which she is trying to hide how upset she is from her mother as she doesn’t want to worry her. She’s currently living with her dad who is a teacher at a boarding school which she attends although she is failing at a lot of her school work. When we meet her it is summer and she has a job walking the teachers dogs.
I felt it was too ‘jumpy’ going from the past to present but it had the potential to be better.
It took me a while to get into it but once there is a good read.
