This is a surprisingly beautiful book. It is a very simple story told in a really unique way. This story is so full of heart and all that that comes with. It is a coming of age story about learning to find and love yourself and realising that no one else is or should be responsible for your happiness.
Adelaide the main character is very loveable and real. Funny and serious all at the same time. She is separated from her brother and mum as her brother whose life she save following an overdose learns to live an independent life again in whilst she lives miles away at a college where her dad teaches. Over the summer of this story Adelaide walks dogs, falls in love, works on her college work, faces her relationship with her brother and learns to be herself. Great read.
