I had heard a lot about this book before I saw it here but this book ended up being nothing like I was expecting. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this definitely wasn't it. I thought it was an enjoyable, yet sometimes infuriating read. I was shouting out loud at some of the characters in time. I suppose that is good writing as I was invested in the characters.
I liked that there were so many dogs in the story, I get the feeling that the author is a dog-person.
The story flipped completely around in the last part of the book and that kind of threw me off guard because I didn't see it coming and I wasn't sure how I felt about it and if I liked it. It felt like we just restarted the whole book again, like a.. oh sorry, no that's not what happened... this is what happened. It changed my entire outlook on the characters and I'm not sure if that is a good thing.
