I thought this book was fantastic. It had the perfect mix of emotions.

Abby does a fantastic job of creating a scene which you feel a part of. When Lenny is helping her dad right at the beginning I could feel her nerves and her genuine worry when he thought she had hurt him. She touches brilliantly on the emotions that a 16-year-old girl would be feeling. I.e the Dr that she becomes attached too while he is looking after her dad. A kind, gentle male figure that genuinely cares (being easy on the eyes tend to help), one that she forms a bond with even though she doesn't quite understand her feelings herself. The worry that you get when everything is starting to change. Lenny has a dad that is dying, a best friend that wants to move away to go to college after school finishes. That is enough to deal with without having a parent dying as well.

I especially love the little lists and facts that are at the beginning of each chapter. A little touch to make the book her own and also different. Constantly relaying back to the title.
