Hints at some interesting ideas, intriguing

Despite intitially finding the colloquial language difficult to get into- ("sittin'" etc), the narrative voice of Summer is compelling. The characterisation of the town as whole is very interesting. The combination of the present day narrative and Summer's is great for adding intrigue.
