'Tall Oaks' was excellent and, in parts, very funny. 'All The Wicked Girls' seems to start of in the same vein but it has a much darker hue.

I still cannot believe that Chris Whitaker is British. How does he know so much about small town life in the US of A? I must look up an American review of his books one of these days.

I downloaded the first few pages while waiting for the Leicester v Liverpool game to start. Pretty soon the football stayed in the background.

The first few pages introduced so many characters that it was difficult to keep up. Who is who? How old are they? What does he/she do? I am looking forward to understanding it all eventually.

Then Leicester scored, but that is another matter.
