Chris Whittaker fails to disappoint yet again. This book was fantastic. A little slow to start off with, just setting the scene and the back story. I love how for the most part each chapter switches between the current events and Summers own story. There is no guessing. There are no slight little hints. No giveaways. Apart from one. There is one line in the book that suddenly makes the switch click in your head as to why she has gone missing. It is so well written that you can't figure out who has done it, where she is, anything. (Or maybe that is just me) As I felt with "Tall Oaks", I have absolutely no reason what so ever to not recommend this book. Or any others written by Chris. I look forward to the next one!
