The world of online dating scares me. I listen to my female colleagues tell me that they have swiped and met someone who they are going to meet this Friday. I ask them how do they know that it's really them or even if it is, who have they told where they are going and when they will be back etc and most of the time they haven't. It's easy to see why a book written could grab at these anxieties and turn it into a scary novel.
