I wasn't immediately grabbed by this first impression, although I quickly warmed to Paige and her mother. Actually I think the backstory that was thrown in during those first few chapters would've made a decent book in itself. I think the cover has an eeriness about it, but right now I can't see what the connection is between it and the story. I'd read this book if I had it, but I won't be rushing out to buy it.
