Its a book about a man and a woman, the usual romance, man posts face on app, woman swipes in a certain direction, man captures and murders woman.
This begins with a realistic representation of an average edate, the man is trying to smile correctly and keep the woman interested with conversation. The woman is clock watching, waiting her departure and quite off her food. And then wham, the woman is distant because shes tied to a chair, the man toying with her like a cat with the shrew.
Its a good read at that point, the author tricked me, but it goes downhill by going back in time after the big reveal of ta daaa he's a murderer. I understand why the author did this, to hook the reader, but the writing would have heen good enough had she left the reader in the dark longer to build suspense. Its still probably worth a read though.
