This gripping thriller by Joy Fielding looks at the world of dating sites in the 21st century and particularly at one man's presence on Match Sticks. He goes by the name Mr Right Now and All The Wrong Places starts with him dining in his apartment with a young woman he has met in a bar and invited back for a meal. At first this appears to be an innocent meal shared by two people who have just met and are taking this opportunity to get to know one another however, after just a few pages, Mr Right Now takes a call from another woman on the dating site and arranges to meet up with her in a few days. When the woman in the apartment tries to call out to alert the woman on the phone the reader discovers that the woman is handcuffed and has a rope around her neck. The story then moves to Paige Hamilton who has moved back in with her mother after her relationship broke up when her partner had an affair with her cousin. Paige has recently been dating on sites and is looking for a partner to take to a party being held for her uncle's 80th birthday. She comes across the extremely handsome Mr Right Now although doesn't make contact but will she change her mind. There are success stories from dating sites but there are also a lot of terrible stories. This book is undoubtedly not one of the successful stories but what terror can Mr Right Now cause before, hopefully, being unmasked and brought to justice. Can't wait to read the rest of this extremely topical thriller, another great read from Joy Fielding.
