The story is set in Boston in America. It centres around four women who explore online dating and things goes wrong for one of them.
Paige is unemployed, living with her mother and uses an online dating app to find love. Her mother, Joan, is a widow who's also thinking about having another partner. Paige's best friend, Chloe is beautiful and in an abusive dysfunctional marriage and her cousin Heather is jealous and competitive.
The story also features Mr. Right Now, a serial killer who likes finding lonely women especially online.
Despite not being my usual genre, I found the story mesmerising. It was difficult for me to put the book down. The author has done it justice by giving the insights of each character. It makes you understand the characters more and you find yourself having conflicting feelings.
