I enjoyed this book a lot more then I thought I would. The book dives right into the story starting with Alastair Cunningham, who wakes up in hospital with almost complete memory loss. We are then introduced to Clémence, who gets a phone call from her aunt asking her to take care of Alastair for a few days until her aunt can take over.
Upon visiting his remote cottage, she finds a manuscript supposedly written by Alastair claiming to have killed her grandmother, Sophie. Could Alastair a killer?
The character development in this story is fantastic. It's nice to read the development of the relationship between Clémence and Alastair as they attempt to recover Alastair's memory and discover what truly happened to Sophie.
This story was intense and constantly had me guessing. And its got rather an unpredictable ending. A fantastic read!
