The cover fits the subject well, giving the impression of a futuristic US. After Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the opening chapters strike incredibly close to home. I was less sure about the chapters between the couple - there was a lot of leg stroking where I think their relationship could have been brought across in a more subtle way. However, I am intrigued to see what happens next.
